Born near the Alps to a Piedmontese mother and a Keralite father in a family of high-fashion professionals, David grew up between fabrics, languages, and music. He began playing the piano around the age of six and never stopped. After graduating from a linguistic high school in European languages, he explored countless different paths and jobs before making the decision to move to Germany.

Three years in Berlin changed everything. Living inside the apartment of artist Cornelius Perino — a space that was itself a work of art — ensured that Perino's vision and presence left a mark that never fully left. Cornelius passed away recently.

Back in Italy during the pandemic, David returned briefly to fashion before finding his world in bar management, club culture, and the Turin nightlife scene — a parallel universe of light, bodies, and time that runs through his photography like a second language.

He shoots on film, only film.
