About

Nayan Tarcisio

Nayan
Tarcisio

Born in 1996, in Moncalieri, near Turin, to an Italian mother and a Keralite father — both working in fashion. He grew up between fabrics, languages, and music, studying piano from an early age before pursuing European languages and philosophy, a path he would later leave halfway through, drawn elsewhere.

Three years in Berlin changed everything. Living inside the apartment of artist Cornelius Perino — a space that was itself a work of art, a story he tells in Vivere in un'opera d'arte — Perino's vision and presence left a mark that never fully left. Cornelius passed away recently.

Back in Italy during the pandemic, Nayan returned briefly to fashion before finding his world in bar management, club culture, and the Turin nightlife scene — a parallel universe of light, bodies, and time that runs through his photography like a second language.

He shoots on film. Everything else is noise.
